The little ones today beat the adults hollow when it comes to dressing up and defining a style statement all their own! Yes, it is true that when they are little quite a lot of the parental tutoring and school suggestions 'have' to be obeyed, but just observe him or her on the hair stylist's 'chair' and you'll know exactly how the suggestions are being implemented. There is hardly a toddler, a child pre-adolescence or an adolescent who doesn’t have suggestions to make and a whisp or two to insist on! However, what a parent can do is try to identify some of the kids' hair styles making the rounds.
Here are a few suggestions:
• Going Mushroom: A definite topper on the list of dedicated kids' hair styles is the 'going-mushroom' cut. The hair is styled around the face, short, literally in the good old 'bob' style, with the ends clinging to the face. This style keeps the hair off the child's face effectively since the same length is maintained and hence, there are no odd strands to deal with.
• Princess Diana: This one’s a real scene stealer, especially in the case of girls. The hair is styled short, shorter than the going-mushroom look, and in layers. This results in a very soft look making your little princess no less than one from any palace in the world.
• Count Zero: In the case of little boys, you could opt for the count-zero look, which is now in trend. The amazing thing is that the crew-cut wont even be resisted by the child!
There are many more options available to experiment on and you can access the lists and pictures of each cut, from every angle, before deciding on any one. One last suggestion – Do involve the child and allow him or her to be a part of the decision. |
